bare spaces: how it all began
It has been three months since I began conceptualizing this passion project turned business. I was at the peak of feeling unfulfilled in my job, searching for a way to keep the fire alive within me—something that would make life feel worth living (as dramatic as it sounds).
I remember juggling work, life, and creating—often times deep into the night—until I began taking leaps of faith. Signs of alignment began appearing: joy, flow, purpose, and peace. Soon enough, I applied for a business license, even though I wasn’t sure what it would be for—intentional living—yes. But which comes first—journals? Planners? Interiors and design? All of it?
At first, I thought I’d start with the internal tools—a blog and a few products—because they felt like the safer route. But truthfully, I feared stepping into design on my own, even if it’s been my career. Was I good enough? Was I ready? Was it too intimidating? Thankfully, my coach saw my hesitation, helped me unpack my fears, and reminded me of my why and what I was capable of.
And now here we are. Launching Bare Spaces.
This moment is so special because design has always been my first love—being creative, bringing beauty and order to spaces, and inspiring with each finished project. It’s a passion I shared with my dad, who has since passed, and I honor him in this journey, knowing he is with me every step of the way.
I really never thought I’d be here—braving the uncertainty of entrepreneurship, building something of my own, something deeply rooted in who I am, and believing I am capable and worthy of it all. This leap is more than a career shift; it’s a declaration of self-trust and a commitment to living in alignment with my values.
Creating Bare Spaces has become my biggest adventure—a way to live with intention and honor my values:
Passion and Purpose—to follow the fire within me and make an impact in my own way.
Boldness— to be unapologetically myself—trusting, taking risks, dreaming big, and showing up with courage.
Freedom and Flexibility—to create abundantly, to travel more, and to live between two places to spend time with my aging mom.
Connection and Service—to deeply connect with clients and my community.
Faith—to glorify God—for who He is, who He has created me to be, and for orchestrating everything always so perfectly.
Entrepreneurship, what I’m realizing, isn’t for the faint-hearted. There’s been so many ups and downs. And while I still have my doubts and fears—I’m ready to lead with my purpose, passion, and authenticity—and to focus on enjoying every bit of the process.
I often find myself tearing up—not just at how far this project has come, but at how far I’ve come in my personal growth and life itself. Whatever happens next, I’m forever grateful for this path—for the courage to dream, to try, and to begin.
